Tuition Assistance Self Evaluation Tool

Tuition Assistance

The Jewish Academy of Orlando (JAO) Tuition Assistance program is designed to make tuition affordable for our families.

The Jewish Academy of Orlando has revamped the Tuition Assistance application process for the 2022-23 school year.

Use this Self Evaluation Tool to quickly determine if you are eligible for Tuition Assistance based on your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) and other assets, and if so, what the discounted cost of tuition will be. The good news is you will be able to complete this evaluation quickly, in the privacy of your own home, and get the results instantly, eliminating a lot of the uncertainty usually associated with the Tuition Assistance process. In addition, none of the information you enter in the self evaluation tool is shared, until you decide to apply for Tuition Assistance in the final step (Step 8).

To apply for Tuition Assistance please follow these steps:

Step 1 - Complete this Self Evaluation Tool

Use this tool to perform a self evaluation of your Tuition Assistance needs.  After you have completed entering your information, the tool will inform you of the amount of assistance you can expect to receive, and the cost of  tuition for your student(s).

If you are eligible for Tuition Assistance, and the discounted tuition costs for your student(s) is(are) acceptable, then you must submit your online Tuition Assistance Self Evaluation for approval (in Step 8 above).

The Tuition Assistance Committee will review your application and notify you within 48 hours whether your application has been approved or not. If your application is approved, your Tuition Assistance award will be subject to verification of the financial information you provided.

Step 2 - Enroll students in Jewish Academy of Orlando for the 2022-3 school year

All students, whether applying for Tuition Assistance or not, must complete the school enrollment application. Please check the Admissions page on the Jewish Academy of Orlando web site.

Step 3 - Complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application

The Jewish Academy of Orlando uses a third party company named FACTS to verify your financial information.  You must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application by the end of March, 2022.

To apply for FACTS, please click here and follow the instructions on this site.

Step 4 - Apply for Step Up

If the Tuition Assistance Self Evaluation tool determines you are eligible for Step Up, then you must apply for and receive Step Up to receive the additional Step Up Assistance.

To apply for Step Up, please click here and apply for a Scholarship to a Private School, and follow the instructions on this site. If the site is not ready to accept applications for the 2022-23 school year, then sign up to be notified when you can apply.

IMPORTANT: Please  complete your application(s) as soon as possible. JAO and Step Up have limited funds available, and Step Up limits the scholarships available for each school. Funds are available on a first come, first serve basis.
